Celebrating the opening of a new Post Office

VALE MP Alun Cairns has visited the new Post Office on Park Crescent in Barry after it moved from its previous location further down the road on Vale Street.
Mr Cairns met the new subpostmasters Mr and Mrs Patell at the Post Office at 41-42 Park Crescent.
The move of the branch is part of a three year investment and support programme which will see around half of the Post Office network converting to new style branches and means that customers will be offered Post Office services from tills on the retail counter in the modern branch. Another benefit will be longer opening hours and the majority of Post Office products and services will still be available.
Commenting, Mr Cairns said: "I was pleased to meet Mr and Mrs Patell at the newly modernised Post Office on Park Crescent.
The Post Office is a really valuable local service the location in the shop at the top of the same road means that everyone will still be able to access the services and during longer opening hours."
This will also be a valuable boost to their independent shop after Sainsbury's were given planning permission to open next door.
