A SINGLE mum from Barry has taken on the might of the USA to reign supreme as one of the world’s most beautiful women.
30-year-old Kate Alicia Morgan took on the best the superpower could offer - alongside the rest of the world - when she took part in the 'Worlds Perfect Pageant' in Orlando, Florida, earlier this month.
Europe’s perfect woman champion, Kate – school worker and mum to one-year-old Oshan - lined up against more than 30 other contestants for three rounds incorporating fashion, interviews, summer and evening-gown wear.
Kate, of Park Road, said: “When my name was called out that I was in the top 12, I then had to recompete. I was ecstatic to be in the top 12.
“I won the title World’s Most Beautiful Woman and received a very large crown, flowers, gifts and photo shoots.
“I was up against 30 other women in my age division who each represented different states around America and the world.
“It was a very tough competition and I never expected to do this well! I was very shocked to win against so many beautiful ladies.
“Some of the other women were ex Miss USA contestants and many were experienced in famous beauty pageants.”
She added: “I made some great connections and the other contestants were so friendly and welcoming to me, being from the UK.
“I will definitely stay in touch with the directors, staff and the other contestants in the pageant.
“I am now tired out and it is great to be back to 'normal life' with my family.
“It is nice to dress casual for a change because over the two weeks in Florida I had to dress up every day for different events.
“Winning the title has already led to being asked to attend glamorous events - even presenting.
“I have opportunities available in Miami and New York already.
I still can’t believe I won this title.
“I am so grateful.”
