GCSE pupils at Bro Morgannwg re-wrote the school’s exam history books this year making the ‘past’ subject the current top grade champion.
History led the way in the optional subjects with 61% of the group achieving A* and A grades - 23 A* and 15 A grades.
And Dafydd George and Phoebe Elias, both scored 13A* grades, with Megan Dafydd’s 12 A* grades, boosted the school’s A list credentials.
The outstanding results exceeded all expectations with 100% of the cohort attaining 5 A*to C in GCSE or equivalent qualifications.
All core subjects made significant improvements from last year’s results. 82% of the cohort attained grades A*to C in English - up 10%, 82% attained grades A*to C in Welsh – up 9%, 74% gained grades A*to C in Mathematics – up 12% and 100% gained A* to C in science - an improvement of 20% on last year’s results.
