Eight arrests in Barry thanks to CCTV monitoring

POLICE made eight arrests and issued one caution in Barry during the week ending August 18, thanks to information provided by the Vale council’s CCTV monitoring team.
On August 14, police made one arrest for theft on Holton Road, Barry. Another person was arrested for theft on Holton Road the following day on August 15.
Police arrested two people for being wanted on warrant on August 16, the arrests were made on Crossways Street and Holton Road.
Another person was arrested for assault on Holton Road, also on 16 August. Police issued a caution for theft at Boots, Holton Road on the same day.
On August 17, a person was arrested for theft on Gateholm Close.
Police arrested another person for theft on Holton Road on August 18.
Also on August 18, police arrested one person for burglary and various vehicle offences on Evans Street.
CCTV operators contacted the police on 36 occasions during the week
All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.
