A CAMCORDER featuring the last days of a dying man has been stolen from the home of a recently widowed woman.
Barry police are investigating the house burglary on Coldbrook Road East, Cadoxton, which they believe happened overnight between Friday, March 8 and the following morning.
The thief took a large quantity of items which included a red and black coloured Samsung laptop computer, a BOSE Wireless iPod docking station, an iPAD and a 4th generation iPod, a camcorder, and a diamond wedding ring.
Medication including Tramadol and Diazepam tablets and two bottles of Oromorph (morphine) were also stolen.
Detective Constable David Rich of Barry CID said: “The victim has recently been widowed.
“The theft of her engagement and wedding rings as well as the camcorder which contained a video diary of the victim’s late husband’s last few days are of particular concern.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have any information or who may have witnessed anything suspicious between 8.30pm on March 8, and 10am the next day.”
