Barry pub to feature in BBC drama, Being Human
2:40pm Monday 11th March 2013 in News
A BARRY pub is set to feature on cult television series Being Human on Sunday.
Scenes were filmed in the back bar of The Castle Hotel over three days last summer and are set to be shown in the last ever episode of the series on BBC3 this weekend.
The last two series of the hit comedy-drama, which has run for five series in total, have been filmed in Barry.
Jenna McIntyre, who serves behind the bar at the Jewel Street pub, managed to get a few photos of herself with the cast members.
"Normally, it’s a pleasant and friendly place where people play pool and listen to music, so seeing a vampire and a werewolf is a bit out of the ordinary!" she said.
It’s not the only time the back bar has had a brush with celebrity. Ex-Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable was a regular visitor before his tragic death in 2010.
Being Human will be shown at 10pm on BBC3 on Sunday (March 10).
