New Ty Hafan shop to open in Barry

ANOTHER new charity shop will open in Barry as Sullybased Ty Hafan, the hospice for young lives, opens its 22nd shop, in Barry’s Holton Road The shop will be opening the on Wednesday (February 27).
Ty Hafan, which also has an outlet in High Street, is appealing for good-quality items including clothing, books and accessories.
All money raised from the sale of goods provides comfort, care and support to hundreds of life-limited children and young people.
Ty Hafan retail operations manager, Penny Collins said: “Being a local charity, the Ty Hafan store in Barry has received tremendous support from the public and we are delighted to be opening a second store in the town. The new premises is in a fantastic location for shoppers looking for a bargain and is easily accessible for people wanting to donate their unwanted goods.”
Ty Hafan is also calling for willing volunteers to help out at the new shop.
Volunteering roles include preparing stock to helping on the shop floor.
Penny added: “We rely heavily on the support of our volunteers who give up their time to help us. We would love to hear from anyone who would be happy to join the team.”
