PUPILS from a Barry primary school passed their Owl Levels with flying colours following a visit from three birds of prey.

Year 1 youngsters at Romilly primary met Buzz and Ozzy the owls, and Bentley, a Harris Hawk, during a visit from the Welsh Hawking Centre.

Teachers had arranged the talk and display to highlight the sky topic the five and six-year-olds had been investigating during the term.

Class teacher Leanne Miller said: “It’s visual for them rather than going on the internet.

“We hear the noises and see the size of the wings.

“The children really enjoyed it.”
