A BARRY family is celebrating the arrival of a fifth generation!
The birth of Archie Currie, to 25-year-old Amy Robson and 27-year-old Jamie Currie on December 29, means the family has hit the five-generation mark.
Heading up the Barry-based clan is great-great-grandmother Peggy Taylor, 92, a former Foreign Office clerk; followed by daughter and great-grandmother Susan Currie, 68.
Her son - and Archie's grandfather - is Mark Currie; and his son is Jamie, dad to Archie who was born at Cardiff's University Hospital of Wales.
"As soon as we knew Amy was pregnant we knew there were going to be five generations," said Susan.
"I think it's a milestone. My friend has put on Facebook about her four generations, but I've got five!"
