DUE to public demand, the UKs No1 tribute band to David Bowie, Absolute Bowie, will be returning to The Paget Rooms in Penarth on Friday, January 25.
This date coincides with the singer's recent 66th birthday and the release of his first single in six years "Where are we now".
The glam-rock singer shot to fame in the late 60s with Space Oddity but has been largely silent in recent years, not performing live since 2006 and rarely appearing in public since then. Bowie even turned down the opportunity to appear at the London Olympics opening ceremony despite a personal plea from its director Danny Boyle.
The two hour show at The Paget Rooms will include authentic versions of Bowie's greatest hits as performed by his different characters Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane and The Thin White Duke.
Absolute Bowie were formed through a mutual love of Bowie's music and their attention to detail will ensure a great show which is a must for all of his fans.
Doors open 7.30pm. Tickets £12 in advance plus booking fee available from Foxys Deli Penarth, Spillers Records, TicketlineUK and Script2Screen in Cardiff.
