A WALK in memory of a Barry mum, who died following a battle with cancer, has raised more than £4,200 for Macmillan Cancer Care.
Friends, family, and colleagues of Wendy Jordan, of Palmerston, helped boost the charity's funds by strolling from Llantwit beach along the coastal path to Barry train station in September, before staging a raffle at the Glenbrook Inn.
Wendy's Scafftag work colleague Karl Webb raised £514, and Macmillan presented him with a medal for his effort.
Wendy's husband Mike is organising for a tree to be planted, in her memory, at Cosmeston.
