A BARRY charity shop is urgently appealing for donations as its stockroom begins to run bare.
Staff at Tenovus, on Holton Road, say they desperately need people to support the cancer charity by donating unwanted items for sale.
Their stock SOS comes as other Tenovus stores in the area have found themselves affected by companies offering 'cash per kilo' for unwanted clothes; while donations left on pavements, outside opening hours, have gone missing.
Store manager Natalie Bolan said: "One bag of items is worth £20 to us and that money will help cancer patients in Barry and the Vale."
The store urgently needs mens, ladies and childrenswear, bric-a-brac, DVDs, CDs, books, and other goods.
Volunteers are also urging people to donate any unwanted Christmas decorations or items so customers can buy into the festive spirit, and aid the charity, in the season of goodwill.
To donate to the Barry Tenovus store, on Holton Road, visit the shop Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
