REGULARS at Barry's 'Billy ' pub have sworn not to grow a (Billy) goatee while taking part in a charity moustache-growing event this month!

Clean-shaven male King William IV punters are attempting to sprout the lip-warming, pint-loving hair in a bid to raise awareness and funds for men's health.

Movember - a month-long effort - aims to tackle prostate cancer and testicular cancer taboos and issues.

Rules stipulate each Mo Bro must begin on November 1 with a clean shaven face. Each Mo Bro must grow and groom a moustache with no joining of the mo to the sideburns - that is considered a beard.

There should be no joining of the handlebars to the chin - that's considered a goatee and each Mo Bro must conduct himself like a true gentleman.

Pub owner, Jo Binding said: "I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for once again supporting us to help these charities."

Representing the King IV this month are Chris O'Brien, John Hamblin, Colin Braddon, Toni Gitto, Paul Southam, Jeff Conibear, Rob Vickery, Geoff Willmot, Tim Hunt, Les Hunt, Tony Hunt, Jason Bates, Marcus Faz, Bunny, Graham Nibblett, Lee Chatwell, Russell Amos, Ben Harrison, Ronnie, Les, Lee Froud, Nathan Yeoman, Honest J, Dagsi, Mark, Kim Jones, Simon Jones, Huw Pearce, and Richard Conwell.

To support the 'gentlemen', visit The King William IV, Bridge Street, Cadoxton, Barry.
