Vale Council refuse to release results of mayor's car investigation

THE Vale of Glamorgan Council has refused a Barry & District News freedom of information request for the results of its mayor's car "full investigation".
The authority said disclosure of information relating to the incident - in Morrisons' car park at Barry Waterfront on September 13 - would be a breach of the data protection act because it would relate directly to a living individual.
A spokesman said: "This exemption applies because disclosure of any information relating to the incident would be a breach of the confidentiality a member of staff would expect from this council."
