Does your bear dare to jump?
ST Cadoc's Church (Old village), Cadoxton, is once again holding a sponsored Teddy Bear parachute jump on Sunday, June 1, at 2pm.
Each participating bear will undergo a medical in the state-of-the-art first aid tent prior to their jump, to ensure they are fit to fly.
And on safe landing, they will be awarded a well deserved certificate of bravery. All parachutes are provided.
There will be a prize for the best dressed child's and adult's bear.
So if you have a bear that would dare, sponsor forms are now available from St Cadoc's (Old Village) church,Cadoxton, St Mary's Holton Road, or telephone 01446 749689.
The event will also include a prize draw raffle, and barbecue.
All proceeds from this event are in aid of the Operation Christmas child shoebox appeal.
The parishioners of St Cadoc's and St. Mary's churches took part in the operation Christmas child shoebox appeal, and last year were able to send 418 gift filled shoeboxes to needy children in Eastern Europe.
For some this would be the only gift received at Christmas time. As transportation charges need to be covered for this year's appeal it is hoped to raise as much money as possible to reach even more children this Christmas.
