ST DAVID'S Hall, Cardiff, will welcome Birmingham Contemporary Music Group on Saturday, February 4, for a pay what you will lunchtime concert.

The group will present 100 Years of Composing in America. They will perform the works of Ives, Cage, Feldman and Carter. The contemporary ensembles has premiered more than 170 works from many of the world's leading composers.

On Tuesday, February 7, the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Symphony Orchestra will return with Orchestradventure.

This concert has been specially devised to capture the imagination of children and teachers via the thrill of a live symphony orchestra.

Through music, singing and dancing, the orchestra along with presenter Tom Redmond bring to life some of the greatest stories ever told including Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and music from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

This concert will cost £6 in advance and £7 on the day - concessions are available.

Then organist Johannes Zeinler will bring February's concerts to a close on Tuesday, February 21. He is currently studying at Vienna's University of Music and the Performing Arts but will visit St David;s Hall to deliver a repertoire featuring Bach, Messiaen and Vierne amongst others.

Johannes won First Prize and Gold Medal for Interpretation at the 2015 St Albans International Organ Festival and has already established himself at international music festivals across Europe.

This will be a pay what you will concert.

All performances start at 1pm and last for approximately one hour.

For pay what you will concerts all you have to do is pay what you feel is appropriate for the performance. The pay what you will concert tickets will be available for collection from the box office on the day.

For priced concerts, concessions apply to Friends of St David’s Hall, under-16s, students, over-60s and disabled people (plus one companion).
