WEST End star John Partridge, Broadway star Adrian Zmed and musical theatre's Marti Webb will be the leads in the first UK tour of La Cage Aux Folles.

The West End and Broadway award-winning musical comes to the New Theatre, Cardiff, from Tuesday, January 31 to Saturday, February 4.

Georges and the drag artiste Albin, star of La Cage Aux Folles, live an idyllic existence in St Tropez.

But all may be about to change when Georges’ son announces his engagement to the daughter of a right-wing politician determined to close down the local colourful night-life.

Comedy ensues when a meeting of the parents forces them to cover up their vibrant lifestyle.

Will Albin be able to play the role of his life to ensure that Jean-Michel can marry his love?

Written by Harvey Fierstein and Jerry Herman, and based on the 1973 French play by Jean Poiret, this hit show has won numerous awards, including seven Tony Awards and a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival.
