AFTER a decade of entertaining audiences across the UK and Europe, Beyond the Barricade is back at St David’s Hall on Saturday, January 7.

With its portrayal of the greatest songs in musical theatre, the show recreates West and Broadway classics performed by a cast of past principal performers from Les Misérables.

Starring Andy Reiss, David Fawcett, Katie Leeming and Rebecca Vere backed by their own ensemble of musicians, this new production includes a section devoted to classical musical.

Plus, you can expect to hear songs from The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Wicked, The Lion King, West Side Story, Evita, Blood Brothers and many more.

Andy Reiss and David Fawcett devised Beyond the Barricade after appearing in Les Mis in Manchester and London.

David played the lead role of Jean Valjean in both productions, whilst Andy played most of the male characters. Andy remains the only person to be the show’s resident director, and perform in it at the same time.

Sharing the stage with them is Katie Leeming, who joined Beyond the Barricade after playing the lead role of Eponine; and Rebecca Vere who previously starred as Cosette.

The quartet also performed at London’s O2 Arena for the Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Concert, whilst Katie and Rebecca were even in the 2012 Box Office movie version.

Tickets cost £22.

Plus there is £2 per ticket off for standard concessions and groups of 10 or more.

The night before on Friday, January 6, will be Vampires Rock: Ghost Train.

The train departs at 7.30pm and you’ll need a ticket to ride, but there’s no guarantee you’ll ever be the same again.

After more than a decade of five-star reviews across 3,000 live performances and more than a million tickets sold, Steve Steinman’s franchise is back.

Get ready to rock out to the likes of We Will Rock You, Sweet Child O’Mine, Bat Out of Hell and Total Eclipse of the Heart.

Club Live and Let Die burns to the ground and Barron Von Rockula flees with his band of bloodsucking vampires in search of a new home. Eventually they come across an old, abandoned fairground ride The Ghost Train where they take refuge.

The Barron and his motley crew then set a cunning plan to lure victims into the ride and live in Rock’n’Roll Hell forever.

Alongside Steinman is a full cast of singers, dancers and band.

Please note that strobe lighting and pyrotechnics are used in this show.

Tickets cost £23.50 and £25.50.

One ticket in groups of 10 is free.

Please note that all ticket purchases are subject to a £3.95 Ticket Service Charge per transaction and an optional 95p postage fee.
