THE Tellin Ya’ Songwriters Guild will begin hosting emerging musical-minded talents at Barry Island, from next month, May.
Coffee Cove & Wine bar, at the Esplanade Building, Friars Road, will stage the event on the last Thursday of every month at 7.30pm.
Songwriters of all types of music are welcome.
Original songs, no covers will be performed.
Organiser Paul Duggan said: “The aim is to encourage and improve the talent of local songwriters and provide an opportunity for people to perform their own tunes without having to compete with well known songs. So if its the first song you've ever written or the hundredth come along and share it, it could be a great way to improve your song-writing or raise your game or inspire you to write more. Who knows maybe we will encourage a great songwriter to emerge from it.
All are welcome to take part or listen.
Any money raised from bucket donations will be used to buy guitars for children in care.
