TALENTED folk act, Ange Hardy, will perform at the Barry West End Club on Friday, December 4.

Shortly after winning FATEA Female Vocalist of the Year in 2014, Ange Hardy has established herself as one of the fastest emerging folk acts in the UK, her solo appearance at BAF 2014s Folk Festival in a Day winning her a host of new fans in the area.

With the release of her third studio album The Lament of the Black Sheep, one of only three folk albums given a five star review in a national newspaper, she came full circle in January 2015, winning FATEA's most prestigious award, Album of the Year.

In the same week Mike Harding referred to Ange Hardy as "one of the most interesting, powerful and talented singers to come out of the last couple of years".

This year also brought about funding from Arts Council of England which allowed Ange to research and write a new body of folk music based on the works of Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Entitled Esteesee it has topped many reviewer's Album of the Year lists already.

Accompanied by the Barefoot Band, she will perform songs from both of these albums. Ange was also nominated in the Horizon Awards at the BBC's Folk Awards 2015.

Tickets to the show cost £10 and are available from the West End Club bar or Mike by calling 07561 143114.
