TOMMY Carey will be remembering the great Gene Pitney in his show at St David's Hall.
During the 60s and 70s, Tommy Carey was Ireland's number one cabaret performer. In the days of the booming dance halls, sing-along bars and late night clubs, Tommy Carey played to packed houses across the greater Dublin area.
He regularly drew huge crowds of fans to his music of Gene Pitney show. Tommy's voice and that of the American hit maker were very similar.
In 1980 Tommy's career peaked when at the ill-fated Stardust Club he drew 1,200 people to his most
successful Pitney Celebration.
Tommy Carey has been in show business for over 40 years and happy to say he is still as busy as ever.
He will perform on September 16, for information or tickets to the show contact the St David's Hall box office on 02920 878500 or visit stdavidshallcardiff.co.uk.
