ORBIT Theatre will be taking audiences on a journey to the Emerald City when they perform The Wizard of Oz from Wednesday, May 27 to Sunday 31.
This stage adaptation brings together all the great characters – Dorothy (and Toto), Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion – as they travel down the yellow brick road in search of the mysterious Wizard of Oz and, of course, the Wicked Witch of the West isn’t too far behind either.
Music and lyrics are from the MGM motion picture score, featuring classic songs like Over the Rainbow, We’re Off to See the Wizard and Ding Dong the Witch is Dead. L Frank Baum’s tale has been a favourite for generations of people, and is the ideal family half-term treat.
