THE first Penarth Art Fair will be held at Penarth Pier Pavilion from Friday, April 17 to Sunday 19.

The fair is organised by Cardiff Arts Collective in partnership with the Penarth Pier Pavilion Trust and supported by the Arts Council of Wales.

A number of high profile galleries, collectives and artists will be taking part in the three day event including: Fountain Fine Art; gallery/ten; Kooywood Gallery; Fireworks and Oriel Canfas, as well as painters Corrie Chiswell, Julia Brooker, Kay Keogh and Bert Evans.

Rhian Kooy, from Kooywood Gallery in Cardiff says, “It is an opportunity to showcase some of Wales’ best artists, in the Penarth Pier Pavilion which has become a cultural attraction in its own right.”

This is the first time that the Cardiff Arts Collective has worked directly with galleries and also used the unique location of Penarth Pier Pavilion for this event.

Lisa-Marie Tann, from the Cardiff Arts Collective says, “We are pleased to have the opportunity to organise this event in Penarth that will give a platform for a wide range of artists to sell directly to the public and represented by a number of high profile galleries in the area.”

A special preview will take place at 4pm on Friday, April 17 and the fair will be open from 10am until 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
