THIS half term keep the children entertained with the family film screenings at the Memo Arts Centre, Barry.

On Monday 27 at 10am will be the showing of Mr Peabody and Sherman (U) all about a dog genius and his pet boy as they travel through time to experience world changing events in this crazy animated comedy.

Meet Mr Peabody. He's a business tycoon, brilliant inventor, Nobel Prize-winning scientist, two time Olympic medallist and all-round genius. He's also a dog - a dog with spectacles and a red bow-tie. Mr Peabody's greatest invention is the WABAC machine that allows his to travel through time. With his adopted boy, Sherman, he embarks on a romp through history visiting momentous events and interacts with great figures.

Then later on at both 1pm and 7pm will be the showing of Maleficent (PG). Angelina Jolie stars in the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic ‘Sleeping Beauty’.

A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman with stunning black wings, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army of humans threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land's fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal - an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the king of the humans and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realises that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom - and to Maleficent's true happiness as well.

Then finally on Thursday 30 will be How to Train your Dragon 2 (PG). Animated family adventure sees Toothless and Hiccup fly back on to screens for another fantastical adventure.

Taking place five years after the first film, the story rejoins the Vikings and dragons as they live harmoniously on Berk enjoying races in the sky. During one of their high-flying games, Hiccup and Toothless encounter a herd of wild dragons led by a mysterious Dragon Rider and once again, they find themselves fighting to keep the peace in their kingdom.

'How To Train Your Dragon 2' features the voices of Jay Baruchel, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill and Gerard Butler.
