NEWPORT'S TJ's regular, rockabilly/psychobilly/rock and roll night - The Kiss of Death - kicks off its sixth event this Tuesday, on April 22, with two bands from the US.
Headlined by Californian psychobilly supergroup Rezurex, who include members of Tiger Army and the Necromantix, they brings back the roots of early 1950's rock 'n' roll and combines them with influences of the 1980's.
Fronted by the enigmatic Daniel De Leon, Rezurex are influenced by numerous bands such as the Stray Cats, The Damned, The Misfits and The Cramps.
With pounding rhythms, a wall of distortion, the machine gun slapping sounds of the stand-up bass, and the ghostly crooning of a psychotic Casanova, Stellar Corpses literally means Dead Stars.
Since their debut show in 2005, Stellar Corpses have been rocketing through California's scene attracting many newly converted fans along the way.
Already having played with big names like Mad Sin, The Meteors, Calabrese, The Quakes and many more, they are now embarking on this European tour with Rezurex.

Both bands are only playing a handful of UK dates, so this is a unique opportunity to catch them.
Completing the bill is up-and-coming London based Las Pistolas.
