A CRACKING, highly acclaimed one-man play about the life of great Welsh actor Richard Burton comes to Newport’s The Riverfront this autumn.

Playing Burton stars Welshman Josh Richards as the man who seemed to have it all but never lived up to his true potential.

Plagued by alcoholism, the late Burton could never recreate his genius in the theatre on the silver screen.

Presented in Burton’s own words, this is a funny, moving and tragic play that is well recommended.

Playing Burton comes to The Riverfront on Wednesday, September 23 at 7.30pm.
