THE effervescent Pam Ayres returns to Newport’s The Riverfront this autumn for a brand new show, including material from her best-selling books.

Her new material will also include fresh poems and stories.

Ayres first sprang to prominence in the 1970s after getting her break on Opportunity Knocks.

A regular broadcaster on BBC Radio 4 in programmes like Just A Minute and her own show Ayres On The Air, she is still a popular figure.

Ayres comes to The Riverfront on Friday, October 23 at 7.30pm.
