WELSH singer Sioned Gwen Davies will kick-off the season of lunchtime concerts at St David's Hall.

The season starts on Tuesday, January 31, with a pay what you will price tag.

The pay what you will Lunchtime Concerts emphasise the commitment of the National Concert Hall of Wales and Cardiff Council in hosting quality concerts, which are accessible to all.

Sioned, who won the Welsh Singer Competition 2016, will represent Wales in the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition in June 2017, and her programme includes a taste of Spain with Manuel de Falla's Siete Canciones Populares Españolas.

Plus, there’s an array of English, American and French Cabaret songs by composers such as Britten, Bolcom, Weill and Satie. Accompanying the mezzo-soprano is pianist Caradog Williams.

The lunchtime concerts start at 1pm and last for approximately one hour.

The pay what you will concert tickets will be available for collection from the box office on the day.
