TOP comedian Simon Amstell has been taking his stand up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the last five years.
Last year his show No Self was the must-see of the festival. and in October he brought the show to London's West End, playing four sell-out nights at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
Next month he will be at St David's Hall, Cardiff for one night only on Sunday, May 4.
Probably best known for BBC2's cult comedy hit Never Mind the Buzzcocks which Amstell hosts, and for which he received the Royal Television Award for Best Entertainment Performance in 2007.
This was followed last December by two British Comedy Awards for Best Comedy Entertainment Personality and Best Comedy Entertainment Series and also a nomination for Best Live Stand Up.
This year, the show has already won a Broadcast Award.
A young Amstell started performing on the comedy circuit when he was just 14 and later caught the eye of TV executives in 1998 after becoming the youngest ever finalist of the BBC New Comedy Awards.
A short and somewhat chequered stint with Nickelodeon followed before he parted company with the children's channel and found himself much more at home as the cult co-host for Channel 4's Popworld and the rest is history.
