THE Memo Arts Centre, Barry, will show two films and a National Theatre performance between Saturday, April 15 to Thursday, April 20.

Being screened of Saturday, April 15 and Wednesday, April 19, will be Logan (15).

People used to call him the Wolverine. Now he’s just ‘Logan’.

Years have passed, the world has changed, and the mutants are all but gone. Logan’s grown old, battle-scarred and weary from years of fighting.

Charles Xavier is one of the only other mutants left, and he’s far from the man he once was.

And when a mysterious girl arrives in Logan’s life, in desperate need of help, it’s time for the eternal soldier to go on one last mission.

Hugh Jackman returns to his defining role for the final time in ‘Logan’, bringing the story of the Wolverine to a close.

Advance tickets cost £6, £4 for concessions and £3 for under-16s. Tickets purchased on the door will cost £6.50, £4.50 for concessions and £3.50 for under-16s.

Then on Thursday, April 20, at 10am will be the screening of Ballerina (U).

Félicie has one dream, and has done all her life: to become a ‘Ballerina’ at the world’s best ballet school.

Unfortunately, it’s in Paris, and she’s hundreds of miles away. She lives in an orphanage with her best friend Victor.

But one day, they steal away together and make their way to the Opera de Paris. She’s up against girls with bags of money and years of practice – but she has a passion for dance that they never will.

Advance tickets cost £3 and tickets purchased on the door cost £3.50.

Later on the same day at 7pm will be the National Theatre Live performance of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (12A).

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter, The Woman in Black), Joshua McGuire (The Hour) and David Haig (Four Weddings and a Funeral, The Witness for the Prosecution) star in Tom Stoppard’s situation comedy, broadcast live from The Old Vic theatre in London.

David Leveaux’s new production marks the 50th anniversary of the play that made a young Tom Stoppard’s name overnight.

Against the backdrop of Hamlet, two hapless minor characters, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, take centre stage. As the young double act stumble their way in and out of the action of Shakespeare’s iconic drama, they become increasingly out of their depth as their version of the story unfolds.

Tickets cost £10.
