TWO performers will be using physical theatre to quintessentialise gothic themes of love, madness and tuberculosis in this comedic interpretation of the Brontë myth.
We Are Brontë is a physical interpretation of the Brontë myth, taking the real and imaginary worlds of the Yorkshire siblings as inspiration.
With only a handful of props, two performers from Publick Transport, deconstruct not only gothic themes of love, madness and revenge, but also themselves.
We Are Brontë was developed in association with Bristol Ferment (Bristol Old Vic’s artists development programme), and is supported by Arts Council England.
Publick Transport is dedicated to making strong visual comic theatre, drawing on clowning and the absurd to celebrate the live experience.
Previous productions are 20,000 Leagues Under the Office, Very Hard Times and Discombobulated.
Publick Transport will be performing We Are Bronte at the Memo Arts Centre, Barry on Friday, January 20 at 7.30pm.
Call the venue box office on 01446 738622 for further details and tickets, or tickets are available online at memoartscentre.co.uk
