THE joyful sounds and spirit of Christmas have already reached Barry Male Voice Choir.

The demanding Christmas schedule started at the High Street Christmas light switch followed by the annual St David`s Church, Colcot Advent Service.

Ahead is the choir`s main winter event, its annual Christmas Concert with the RAF St Athan Voluntary Band. This will be held at St Helen`s Roman Catholic Church, Wyndham Street, Barry on Saturday, December 3 at 2pm.

Tickets available at the door are £5 and children free.

This year the vocal soloist is Llinos Jones recent winner of Music in the Vale’s Young Senior Singer award for 2016. An award previously won by Jess Robinson a soloist at the Royal Albert Hall this year and who sang with the choir in September.

The concert will be in aid of the mental health charity Mind in the Vale, that supports ever increasing numbers of people.

Barry Male Voice Choir will also be performing at Wetherspoon’s Sir Samuel Romilly on Monday, December 12, at 7.30pm in aid of Sir Malcolm Sargent`s Clic Sargent charity in support of children suffering from cancer.
