THE Memo Arts Centre has plenty of festive entertainment lined-up in December starting off with a Christmas Festival Market and Santa's Grotto.

On Saturday, December 3, browse more than 30 stalls with handmade gifts and crafts, stocking fillers and market food produce.

Plus Santa will be welcoming children to his grotto which also includes a stop-off at Santa's Post Office where you can send your letter direct to the North Pole.

Visits to Santa will be ticketed but will include a photo opportunity and a gift.

Slots to visit Santa are from 10am to 11am and then 11am to noon before Santa has lunch, before starting again from 12.30 to 1.30pm; 1.30pm to 2.30pm and finally 2.30pm to 3.30pm.

It is advisable that tickets to see Santa are pre-ordered to ensure you get to meet him. Tickets will be available on the day but there maybe lengthy waits and queue, with pre-orders having priority access and queue jump privileges.

Next up will be the Royal Ballet's The Nutcracker on Thursday, December 8.

It’s Christmas Eve and Drosselmeyer the magician sweeps young Clara away on a fantasy adventure in which time is suspended, the family living room becomes a great battlefield, and a magical journey takes them through the Land of Snow to the Kingdom of Sweets.

Then on Saturday, December 10, will be the Memo's Christmas Party Night which will include drinks, festive food, live music and a disco.

Community group, Razzle Dazzle Theatre School will present their theatre showcase, Let Us Entertain You, on Sunday, December 11 at 2.30pm. Please note tickets are available from the group.

From Thursday, December 15 to Sunday, December 18, Billboard Ensemble will perform this year's pantomime, Snow White.

The traditional pantomime of Snow White will be brought to life this Christmas by Billboard Ensemble. Packed with traditional pantomime ingredients, this family pantomime, accompanied by a live orchestra, is a Christmas treat.

Performances on Thursday and Friday will be at 7.30pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm

Then just before Christmas on Thursday, December 22, will be The Muppet Christmas Carol (U) at 11am. Tickets cost £3.50 with popcorn.

In the evening, Motion Control Dance will perform The Twelve Days of Christmas at 6.30pm. Please note tickets are available from the group.

Then on Friday, December 23 will be the showing of White Christmas (U) at 1pm. Tickets cost £4 with a mince pie and hot drink.
