VALE residents are invited to Barry to help High Street’s traders welcome in the Festive Season with its annual Christmas lights switch-on, Friday, November 25.
Celebrations begin with a series of performances set to delight the thousands of people who traditionally join traders for some shopping, dining and festive fun.
The street, this year, is embracing a Victorian theme.
Romilly primary school’s choir will take to the stage at 4pm with Ysgol Sant Baruc at 4.15pm and High Street primary at 4.30pm.
Pukka’s Dance group takes over at 4.45pm for a 20-minute performance with Barry Male Voice choir at 5.10pm. E motion and the Superstars In The Making dance groups perform at 5.35pm and 6pm respectively.
The Lights go on at 6.30pm with the Bliss Dancers dance group rounding of the evening at 7pm.
The event is organised by the High Street traders association with grants from Barry Town Council and the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
