GET Creative Family Arts Festival will return throughout October and will be their biggest event yet.

The fourth edition of the Get Creative Family Arts Festival presents a variety of activities for the whole family, suitable for all age groups during October throughout Wales and the UK and this year the festival expands to run throughout the entire month.

From site specific public art, award-winning musicals and plays, innovative performances and workshops to spectacular science shows, the festival covers activities across a wide spectrum of disciplines.

Essential listings for families wanting to experience something new can be found at familyartsfestival.com where you can search by postcode, date, artform or age suitability to find out details of events close by or a place you are visiting.

The Family Arts Standards badge tells you that whether they’re a theatre, an art gallery, an orchestra or a dance company, the organisation will be welcoming families, with helpful staff, good facilities, considered pricing and information to help families decide what is or isn’t suitable for them and their children.

The googly eye app and interactive map, popular features of the festival have returned and there are prizes for families to win when giving feedback on the website.

Organisations including Wales Millennium Centre, Volcano Theatre, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and St David’s Hall among others, are already signed up for this year’s programme in Wales.

Family Arts Festival activity in Wales is supported by Arts Council of Wales.
