FOUR-time Edinburgh Best Show Nominated James Acaster has announced he is to tour the UK in the autumn with his newest offering, Reset, following his upcoming 2016 run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

His newest tour will kick-off in Cardiff on Wednesday, September 21 at Clwb Ifor Bach.

Having quickly established himself in British comedy, James has notched up a range of award nominations, including Best Comedy Show at the 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and taking home the Best International Show Award at the 2014 New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

In addition to his stand-up career, James has also just filmed a brand new series for BBC Three, titled Sounds Random. Part-chat show, part-music video, the 15-part series of shorts sees James invite an array of music guests to hit shuffle on their music library and discuss randomly selected tracks from their collections.

Of the series, James said: “This is a fascinating series to film as our guests have no-where to hide, they can’t ignore their guilty pleasures if that’s what the device selects and the emotions that individual songs evoke are evident in their initial reactions as soon as they hear the opening chords.”

James has made a host of television appearances including Live at the Apollo (BBC One), Live from the BBC (BBC Three), Have I Got News For You (BBC One), Mock The Week (BBC One) and 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4).

Radio appearances include a regular guest spot on fellow comic Josh Widdicombe’s XFM show and writing and presenting his own show Findings for BBC Radio 4.
