FOLLOWING the sell-out success of the Big Day Out 2015, the festival returns this year from Friday, July 1 to 3 at Humble by Nature in Monmouthshire, the working farm owned and run by Kate Humble, with an exciting new line up of activities.

The festival promises to be a barrel of laughs with comedians Miles Jupp, Justin Edwards, Lucy Porter and Ivo Graham starting the weekend in style.

Comedian Miles Jupp, who now lives in Monmouthshire, is the host of BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and regularly appears on Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats. Miles is also a writer and actor, starring alongside Tom Hollander in Rev.

Perrier award-winner Justin Edwards is an actor, writer and comedian whose work includes The Thick of It, Black Books, Harry and Paul, Peep Show and the 2014 film Paddington.

Edinburgh Fringe regular Lucy Porter appears frequently on a variety of BBC Radio 4 panel shows, including Quote…Unquote and The Personality Test. One of her earliest comedy stand-up spots was on the Mrs Merton Show.

Ivo Graham was the youngest ever winner of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny? award for new acts at the Edinburgh Fringe. Ivo started performing stand-up at the age of 18 and has since sold out shows at Edinburgh Fringe and London’s Soho Theatre.

Miles Jupp said: “I’ve recently moved to my wife’s home town of Monmouth. I’m a big fan of Humble by Nature and I’m looking forward to my first agricultural comedy performance.”

After the opening night of comedy, the rest of the weekend features a great mix of music, food and crafts. Big Day Out has already confirmed music acts Remi Harris, Grace Hartrey, Railroad Bill, The Monty, The Don Fox Scandal and Life Of Reilly with more to be announced.

Big Day Out is a family-friendly festival with delicious local food and drink, activities for all ages, including farm olympics, circus skills, Wild Tots outdoor play and our very special Mad Hatter’s tea party. In the Bushcraft Field, families can make jewellery from deer antlers, and learn essential survival skills like den- and fire-making, foraging as well as orienteering.

The Big Day Out camping field opens at 5pm on Friday. July 1 with events starting that evening. The main festival field opens on Saturday morning and the fun continues through to Sunday afternoon.
