WEATHER permitting the annual Celebration of the Sky – Kite Festival will be held near the former Knap Lido and Point above Watchtower Bay, in Barry.
Art4U will stage the seventh annual event from 6pm on Tuesday, June 21 to celebrate the Summer Solstice and nature’s beauty.
Glyn Pooley, of Art4U said: “This community event centres around a featured sculpture called Khandroma which means Sky Dancer. The piece will be decorated with coloured flags and we invite as many members of our community including schools and clubs to craft or bring a kite to fly while soaking up the beautiful scenery.”
The event is free, but donations are welcome.
Art4U is a voluntary arts group which aim to bring collaborative art to the public of Barry and the Vale and bring people outdoors to celebrate nature.
