PENARTH Operatic and Dramatic Society will stage a fantastic production filled with romance, mystery and murder.

Set in the 1930s and on board the paddle steamer, Lotus, as it makes its way down the river.

Kay had previously stolen Simon away from her best friend Jacqueline de Severac, who embittered and still deeply in love with Simon, has been trailing after them during every part of their journey.

Not a situation that is going to end well.

With her fellow passengers all harbouring their own secrets – the snobby Helen Ffoliot-ffoulkes, her downtrodden niece Christina, the wise cracking William Smith and shady Dr Bessner, as well as Kay’s maid Louise – it’s going to need a keen and intuitive mind to piece the puzzle together when a murderer strikes.

Canon Ambrose Pennefather has the unenviable job of piecing the solution together, and he invites you to join him on an Egyptian voyage of intrigue and excitement that will leave you spellbound with amazement.

Make sure to bring along your detective skills.

All this in Murder on the Nile, when PODS performs at the Paget Rooms from Wednesday, March 16 to Saturday, March 19.

The bar will open at 7pm and the curtain will be up at 7.30pm.

Tickets start at £9 and are available from Brian Gardner on 029 2071 2260 or email ticketsecretary@pods-penarth.org, visit pods-penarth.org or go to the Tenovus store at 23 Windsor Road, Penarth.
