AMELIA Trust Farm has two exciting events lined-up for the end of January.

On Saturday, January 30, they are looking for people to help out with their BIG Garden Bird Watch.

They will be in the bird hide by the pond in the woods from 10am until 11am recording what birds can be seen.

ID sheets will be available to use, all you have to do is bring a pair of binoculars if you have them – if not Amelia Trust Farm has a couple people can borrow.

Make sure you wrap up warm and wear wellies as the paths down to the pond are muddy.

Afterwards head to the café to warm up and have a go at making your own bird houses and feeders to take home. This activity will run from noon until 2pm and costs £6 per child.

Then on Sunday, January 3, enjoy a 1950s style afternoon tea at the newly refurbished Amelia Trust Farm Kitchen.

Take a trip down memory lane with 1950s music, delicious cakes and, of course, plenty of tea. Dress from the era is optional and there will be a prize for the best outfit.

Tea will be served on a traditional tiered cake stand and will consist of a selection of savouries, home baked cakes and scones with lashings of Field days Organic Horticulture Project jam and fresh cream.

Tickets cost £12 per person and booking is essential.
