AMELIA Trust Farm will be celebrating its Harvest season on Saturday, September 26, with its annual Family Fun Day.

The farm, based near Barry, receives no core funding and is a small charity. It is a working farm set in 160 acres of countryside which includes 28 acres of woodlands.

Amelia Trust Farm provides an alternative education for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people working with skilled staff and volunteers. This year is the Farm’s 25th anniversary year and it is hoped that the Family Fun Day will raise much needed funds to enable them to continue to fund the work they do with young people.

The fun starts at 11am and runs until 5pm and costs £5 per car. There will be tractor rides, live music, children’s games, interactive displays and much, much more.

At 3pm there will be a dog show that is being sponsored by pets at home, Bridgend. Categories include: fancy dress dog and owner; best child and junior handlers; most obedient and best puppy. Each dog show class costs £1.50 to enter.
