THE sensational Glam Gala Concert is returning to St David's Hall for its second anniversary on Saturday, August 29.

Expect a compelling evening of choral classics, orchestral opulence and the finest emerging youth talent as five decades of musicians share the stage.

Plus, there’s an extra special guest for this occasion with world-renowned Welsh composer and former Glamorgan Youth Orchestra player Karl Jenkins CBE as conductor for the concert.

Joining Karl is acclaimed opera singer and BBC Radio Wales presenter Beverley Humphreys as compere for a rousing repertoire of Copland, Faure and Terry ‘Drac’ Johns.

The Glam is a non-profit organisation supporting youth music across South Wales and consists of 50 years of members of the former Glamorgan and Mid Glamorgan Youth Orchestra and Choirs. All of them received free music education, experiences and opportunities.

All proceeds from the concert go to The Jeffrey Francis Foundation, which supports youth engagement with music across South Wales.

Tickets for the concert cost from £5 to £22 (plus a £2.95 ticket service charge per transaction).
