THE National Coastwatch Station, Nells Point, Barry Island will be open to the public on Sunday, August 2, between 11am until 5pm.
Members of the crew will be in attendance to meet the public and show them around their station which will include the Exhibition Room and also the Lookout where they see the duty Watchkeepers carrying out their duties.
Those visiting on the day will have the opportunity to mingle with the volunteers and find out exactly what are the priorities of the organisation and how they deal with incidents. Refreshments will be served.
