WELSH Hearts will be holding a summer 'alfresco' ladies lunch on Friday, July 17 at Cathedral 73.
Entertainment is also provided throughout the day. This is a great event for coming together with friends and meeting new people and supporting the work carried out by Welsh Hearts.
All of the money raised from the event will be put towards The Dai Fib Appeal which aims to fund the widespread provision of defibrillators across Wales.
Sharon Owen, charity director Welsh Hearts said: "To date The Dai Fib Appeal has been very successful placing over 180 defibrillators throughout Welsh communities and with the help of medical staff who give up their time for free we have trained over 6400 people to carry out CPR and use the life saving equipment. This is why events like the ladies lunch are so important because every penny we raise stays in Wales and is spent here to save lives. We are also excited to announce that we will be launching a screening programme in the New Year to detect heart abnormalities for 14-35 year olds."
