BARRY West End Club will host an exciting gig packed full of fresh, young talent on Thursday, July 9.

Duo Tobias ben Jacob and Lukas Drinkwater will join Kelly Oliver for the show.

These two acts are double headlining and have both been played recently on BBC Radio 2 Folk Show as well as BBC 6 Music and have performed separately and as a trio by Whispering Bob Harris for his private filming company.

Their first time performing in Wales has been organised by Mike Duggan who is keen to share these artists with music loving people.

Tobias ben Jacob and Lukas Drinkwater are constantly likened to John Martyn and Danny Thompson, partly because of their double bass and guitar combo, but also for their inventive songs and thrilling delivery- according to R2 Magazine.

Kelly Oliver offers an unusual musical opportunity as she accompanies herself with Dylan inspired harmonica, along with guitar in her self penned songs. The Dylan reference is interesting to note as the two acts join together for an encore which is Boots of Spanish Leather. Their moving rendition was captured by Bob Harris when they visited him recently in his CD adorned studio.

Tickets to the show cost £8 in advance or £10 on the door. Tickets available from the venue or call Mike Duggan on 07561 143114.
