FILMS being shown at the Memo Arts Centre, Barry from June 15-30 are:

Trash (15) on Monday, June 15. In the lively and sometimes deadly favelas of Rio de Janeiro, two teenagers make a discovery in a rubbish dump that results in them running from the cops. Assisted by their friend, an American priest and an aid worker they try to right a terrible wrong.

On Monday, June 22, will be the screening of Love is Strange (15).

Four decades into their relationship, Ben and George can finally marry. However, their vows are tested shortly afterwards when George loses his job and the couple are forced to live apart. Separated and suddenly reliant on friends and family, they must navigate a new world.

Finally on Tuesday, June 30, will be Testament of Youth (12A).

A searing story of love, war and remembrance, based on the First World War memoir by Vera Brittain which became the classic testimony of that war from a woman’s point of view. A powerful, passionate journey from youthful hopes and dreams to the edge of despair and back again.

Each film will be screened at 1pm and 7pm on the day and tickets cost £4.50 in advance or £5.50 on the door.
