ON Saturday, May 16, shoppers and bargain hunters have a double opportunity to shop.

High Street shopping area will hold an Artisan Market with stalls selling real ales, artisan cheeses, garden plants and hand crafted gifts all accompanied with music from The Bucket Band.

Then just a four minute walk away will be St Paul’s Avenue where shoppers can take advantage of a host of bargains at St Paul’s Spring Fair, famous for over 50 years for stalls full of bargains.

On sale will be toys, books, DVDs and CDs, gifts and cards, homemade cakes, bric-a-brac, sweets, crafts and a prize-every-time-stall.

There will be a big raffle with a first prize of £50 and many other prizes including drinks and grocery hampers and homemade cakes, sandwiches and refreshments will be on sale.

All proceeds of the Fair are to help the continuing work of the Barry Churches of St Paul’s and Merthyr Dyfan.

The High Street Market opens at 10am and St Paul’s Hall is open 2pm until 4pm, admission is 50p and children are free.
