MAJOR Music, under management of YMCA Barry, is extending their music workshops to a Thursday evening.
The studio facility at Llantwit Youth Centre will be open for any young person between 11 and 24 years, to rehearse, record and make music.
Entry to the studio is just £1. Major Music will continue to run their Tuesday evening workshop, but due to demand the Thursday one will run from 6.30pm until 9pm.
Phil Kirkham and Dave Roberts founded the music charity over 10 years ago and without their commitment and support there would be no music facility for young people in the Vale.
YMCA Barry will now be taking over the project and with the support of Anthea Clements, YMCA chief executive and her team, will be building on the success of this music project, targeting young people across the Vale. The founding members, committee members and volunteers have worked tirelessly over the last 10 years to make Major Music a sustainable music project for young people to access.
