AFTER the successful run that the New Theatre pantomime Cinderella had through late 2014 and early 2015 the cast will be back for this year’s Aladdin.

Linda Lusardi, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Mike Doyle, Andy Jones, Gareth Thomas and Sam Kane will perform in the magical pantomime adventure Aladdin.

Taking the lead role as Aladdin will be Welsh pop sensation and musical theatre star Ian ‘H’ Watkins from Steps.

Heading this talented line-up is Linda Lusardi, who will be assisting Aladdin as the Slave of the Ring.

Aladdin wouldn’t be complete without Widow Twankey and New Theatre audiences can look forward to the return visit of Wales’ own Mike Doyle. Mike is a larger-than-life panto veteran whose showmanship, comic timing and rich singing voice score a hit with audiences every time he steps on stage. Having made his panto debut at the New Theatre last year Gareth Thomas returns to tackle a new challenge and make the wishes of Aladdin and his Princess come true in the role of the Genie of the Lamp. Comedian and funny man Andy Jones takes on the part of Wishee Washee. Andy’s talent and natural comedic timing have seen him become a firm favourite with pantomime audiences over the years.

Panto veteran Sam Kane will play the role of the ultimate pantomime baddie, Abanazar. Sam has been a stalwart of musical theatre for many years. Sam not only plays the role of Abanazar but also directs the production.

Aladdin is staged by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer, and the company behind the New Theatre’s record-breaking production of Cinderella last year.
