THE incredible international Gaelic Americana artist Kyle Carey will be performing at Barry West End Club on Friday, April 24.
This is her only show in Wales as part of her European Tour for her second CD ‘North Star’.
She studied for a year about the Gaelic songs and fiddle styles of Cape Breton and then followed this with a two year sojourn of the Isle of Skye where she cemented her command of Gaelic.
Most of Kyle’s songs are in English with their subject matter ranging on one level the present and history of rural America, Canada and British Isles and on another level the winding roads and busy highways of the human heart.
It’s a sound composed of what is tried and true and the unprecedented results of reformulating the old in imaginative ways.
